Actively move your head and body to check all blind spots
For our safety, A-pillars in cars are now made to be very thick, with drivers positioned even further back inside the car.
So while cars have become safer, the downside is that there can be more blind spots.
This means we have to be very careful when pulling out from intersections. Sitting still like a wooden doll in the driver's seat means you could easily miss something. If you lean forward to look around all your blind spots it's easier to check that you've seen everything.
